Gerald, originally from the Philippines, began his culinary journey as an apprentice chef, gaining experience in various galleys. Over the years, he has built a 14-year track record in hotels, cruise ships, and yachts, consistently creating exceptional dining experiences.
He excels in crafting exquisite dishes that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements, and he is also adept at menu planning and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene.
Gerald’s goal is to create good food that transcends borders, whether sailing across the Mediterranean or cruising the Caribbean, ensuring joy and satisfaction with every bite.
Owner’s Head Chef - Sudipta Ghosh
Indian
Sudipta, or Sid for short, hails from Kolkata, the City of Joy, in India. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management in 2008. Following his graduation, he gained invaluable experience working for six years on luxurious cruise lines under the guidance of some of the best chefs in the industry. For the past seven years, he has brought his culinary talents to the yachting industry, working on yachts ranging from 50m to 124m.
As a chef, Sid is constantly seeking new ideas and techniques, and he loves reading to expand his culinary knowledge. Cooking is not only his profession but also his hobby and passion. Beyond the kitchen, Sid enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and reading books.
In addition to his yachting career, Sid has embarked on a new venture by starting a small hotel business in his home state in India. His goal is to make this business a successful venture and expand it to include more hotels under his company within the next five years.
